I don't have anything significant or heartfelt for you today, just some randomness. For starters the chicken experiment has ended. Although the abundance of eggs was nice the chicken poop all over the yard was making mommy mad. The only way to fix that problem was to build them a bigger play area, thankfully my husband was getting tired of the upkeep, buying chicken feed and trying to catch them every night so instead we closed that season of life. Good-bye chicken coop and good-bye chickens.
Jeff also decided a new truck was in the cards, apparently a new baby = new truck. He is pretty in love and so are the boys.
We have some pretty fun PB & J events planned for the month of June with one being a Sidewalk Chalk Party. I saw the idea on a blog quite a while ago and am so excited for the event. We are meeting at a small park with a big cement area, I am making decorations, supplying chalk, drinks and activities including hopscotch and race tracks drawn with chalk.
I had a bunch of satin scraps from my superhero cape project so am making a banner with them. Simply cut into strips, they don't have to be even or the same, and tie onto string, yarn or twine.
One item on our "to-do" list while Jeff is off was my craft room. It was mostly my project but needed my hubby's help with the new sewing table. He cut apart our old dining room table, made it smaller and reassembled making a sewing table. The big boys played outside and Brenner napped this morning so I rearranged and organized the space, hello happy crafty room!
I still want to make a peg board organizer to hold all my thread, buttons, scissors, etc. The silver table under the Poplin sign will serve as my "works in process" area where I have all my current projects laid out. I used to sew at that table but had to sit on a tall stool with no back which wasn't too comfy. Now if I can just find a little time to sneak away and create. That time is not now though as little B is calling, must be time to eat, AGAIN! (Look at that serious face, he means business)
