Preparing

So I guess now for our third baby my body has decided to prepare itself. With Trexen I worked right up until the day I had him, no early labor, no contractions just a big gush of water and then to the hospital we went to start the process. Pacey was opposite with contractions starting the day of his birth but no early warning signs with either one of them. I liked it that way, Jeff and I weren't stressed, there was no thinking about it, just go and do it.

Apparently baby #3 wants to be completely different, I had my 36 weeks appointment Thursday and almost went to the hospital last night. It was awful, wondering if it was real, just false labor or me getting sick. Finally about 3am I was able to breath again, got out the laptop and started googling. Yep everything I was experiencing (I will spare you the details) are all signs of labor. Now here's the catch..."your body is prepping and preparing for the birth of your baby. These signs are indicators that the baby could arrive within a day or two OR a week or two."

Well thank you, that helps a lot. So as my crabby, overtired little boys whined their way out of bed this morning I tried to explain how mommy felt and daddy tried to keep them away from me but no luck. It sure is different this time dealing with pre-labor and two little boys. I plan to slow down, try and let my body prepare and hope this baby waits a few weeks, I am not ready yet!

Forgot to mention amidst the bathroom remodel, kitchen project and reality of baby coming soon my hubby decided it was a good day to cut down some trees in the front of our house. He is out there right now all American Logger like with the boys, not sure if I should supervise or hide...
